For French nationals requiring a residence visa, here is what is required:

• Passport valid for 6 months beyond your return date and bearing the visa.
• A visa application form: download the document here.
• One identity photograph
• Proof of accommodation in Chad with exact address: indicate « Agence Toumay voyages » « headquarters: avenue du Général Ali Ibrahim BP 3646 -N'Djaména». Telephone 00 235 66 24 25 83
• Photocopy of your yellow fever vaccination certificate (now valid for life).
• A cheque or money order payable to the Chad Consulate: rate for a single entry maximum 1 month = €70.
• Standard processing time when submitting documents in person = 72 hours

For any visa request by mail: send your documents by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt or, preferably, by express courier.

Do not forget to include a sufficiently stamped envelope (by registered mail with acknowledgment) for return or, even better, an express return envelope.

Important: we recommend one envelope per visa !! (there have been instances where only one visa was returned).

For other nationalities, please inquire with the consulate or embassy.

20 days before your departure, you must send us by email a scan of your passport and visa. Indeed, we have many formalities to complete on the ground to obtain travel authorizations.

Tips: We recommend that when you travel, you always carry photocopies of your identity documents with you (in case the originals are lost or stolen).
