Explore Chad through our tailor-made circuits, designed by Faris and his team from N'Djamena. Each itinerary is crafted to reveal the sandstone arches and rock paintings of the Ennedi, the volcanoes of Tibesti, the elephants and crowned cranes of Zakouma park, and the human mosaic of the Toubous, Sara and Kanembous peoples. Whether you travel as a couple, with friends or in a small group of adventurers, our circuits adapt to your pace and the demanding logistics of the country. From the 12-day Ennedi circuit in 4x4 and bivouac to the grand 3-week journey combining desert and wildlife, find the itinerary that suits you and set off with peace of mind with an English-speaking local agency.
Choose your trip in Chad
How to choose your trip to Chad?
Choosing your itinerary depends first on your available time and the regions you wish to visit. A focused discovery of Ennedi requires a minimum of 13 to 17 days, including two days of road transfer from N'Djamena or a charter flight depending on the season. To combine the Ennedi desert and safari at Zakouma, or add Lake Chad and Kanem, plan for 18 days or more to avoid stringing together long stages without time for cultural breaks.
Tibesti requires specific logistics, an expedition of 18 to 25 days minimum, to be organized six months in advance. Faris will guide you toward the most coherent combination based on your interests and departure season.
Different types of trips
Our cultural itineraries focus on encounters with the Toubou of Ennedi, Kanembu of the wadis, Sara of the south, and visits to the sultanates of Ouaddaï in Abéché. Adventure itineraries head toward the arches and gueltas of Ennedi, the ascent of Emi Koussi in Tibesti, or the tracks of Borkou.
For family travelers with teenagers, we design shorter programs focused on Zakouma and a glimpse of Ennedi, with adapted camp comfort. Ornithological itineraries around Zakouma from March to April appeal to a specific naturalist clientele.
What is the best season?
The dry season, from November to March, concentrates the majority of departures. Temperatures range from 18 to 32°C during the day, dropping to 5°C at night in the highlands of Tibesti and Ennedi in January. Zakouma park remains accessible until mid-April with peak wildlife in March. April and May often exceed 45°C, best avoided. The rainy season from June to September closes most tracks in the south and Sahelian regions.
